Burrawang Tuesday 26 April

3:30pm. 14˚C.
After steady rain overnight it cleared briefly this morning and. and we had a few hours of sunshine before the overcast conditions returned. It has been overcast and showery since Friday and the wet weather is predicted to continue until Sunday. So the word for the weather is ..... damp.
In the last week the autumn colours have become more prevalent and the trees are shedding their leaves more rapidly.

These shots were taken late yesterday morning at Red Cow Farm and show the full blaze of autumn colour. The golds and reds are even more luminescent against the dull grey skies.

Burrawang Tuesday 19 April 2011 3:05pm

After a beautiful crisp clear day yesterday today has been mild and overcast. I took the three following photos at  8:30 am this morning and apart from some sunshine at midday it has remained largely overcast. Shadows are lengthening as the sun moves north.

The trees continue to colour and shed their leaves.

I gathered the leaves below on a visit to Goulburn on the weekend. While they scanned red it was the intense cadmium orange of the leaves that was striking when viewed as a mass on the trees.

I think the rapid changes that mark autumn make it an exciting time for weather watching.
